• $1,000/kW, up to 50% of total costs
Battery Energy Storage
• Up to $5,000 back
• $300/kWh, up to 50% of total costs
Note : Solar panels must be sized for load displacement only. Net metering is not permitted.
Qualification & Eligibility
To receive your solar and storage rebates, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Live in a single detached, semi-detached, row house, townhome, or mobile home on a permanent foundation.
- Own the home (if you have tenants, the owner must apply).
- Be connected to the Ontario electricity grid.
(Note: Cornwall Electric customers are not eligible as they use the Hydro-Québec grid.)
How to Get Your Rebates
Steps to Get Your Rebates
- Confirm Your Eligibility:
Fill out our short eligibility form for guidance. - Choose a Contractor & Obtain Approval:
- Select a qualified contractor.
- Use resources like SolarTO and CanREA to help find reputable providers.
- Your contractor will submit your pre-installation form and secure connection approval from your local electric utility.
- Complete Your Upgrades:
Once pre-approved, your contractor will install your solar panels and battery storage system according to program standards. - Receive Your Rebate:
After all required documentation is submitted and approved, you’ll receive your rebate directly.
