Here’s a detailed look at the 12 steps in our solar installation process:

  • 1. Provide Last 12 Months Hydro Bill and Help Get Interval Data from LDC (Owner)

    To begin the process, you’ll need to provide your last 12 months of hydro bills. This is a crucial first step that allows us to assess your energy usage and design a solar solution that meets your specific needs. We’ll also assist you in obtaining the necessary interval data from your Local Distribution Company (LDC) to further optimize your system.

  • 2. Review and Confirm Proposed Design (Owner)

    Once we have your data, our team will propose a solar system design that matches your energy requirements. You’ll have the opportunity to review and confirm the proposed design, ensuring it aligns with your goals. This step ensures that the solution is customized for your business and meets your expectations.

  • 3. Authorize Agreement and Pay Deposit (Owner)

    After confirming the design, we’ll provide a detailed agreement outlining the terms, financing options, and scope of work. Once you’re satisfied, we’ll ask you to authorize the agreement and make a deposit to proceed with the project.

  • 4. Detailed System Design and Structural/Electrical Engineering (We’ll Take Care of It)

    At this stage, our team of experts will handle the detailed system design, structural and electrical engineering required to ensure your solar system is safe, efficient, and fully optimized. We take care of all technical details, so you don’t have to worry.

  • 5. Submit Application to IESO for Pre-Approval (We’ll Take Care of It)

    We’ll submit the necessary application to the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) to obtain pre-approval for your solar retrofit project. This is an essential step to ensure compliance with Ontario’s energy regulations and to move forward with the project.

  • 6. Receive Solar PV Retrofit Project Pre-Approval from IESO (Owner)

    Once the application is reviewed, IESO will provide pre-approval for your project. At this point, we’ll notify you that your project is moving forward and confirm the next steps. This pre-approval is essential before moving to the final stages.

  • 7. Approvals by Utility and Municipality (We’ll Take Care of It)

    We’ll handle all the necessary approvals from the utility provider and municipality to ensure your installation complies with local codes and regulations. These approvals are crucial before installation can begin.

  • 8. Be Ready for Purchasing Equipment (Owner)

    With all approvals in place, you’ll be asked to prepare for purchasing the equipment required for your solar system. We’ll guide you through this process and ensure you’re ready for the next phase of your project.

  • 9. System Installation and Commissioning (We’ll Take Care of It)

    Our expert team will install the solar system at your business location. From mounting panels to wiring and system configuration, we handle all aspects of the installation. Once everything is installed, we’ll commission the system to ensure it’s operating efficiently.

  • 10. Obtain Post-Approval from IESO (We’ll Take Care of It)

    After installation, we’ll handle the process of obtaining post-approval from IESO. This ensures that your solar system meets all regulatory standards and is ready to start generating energy.

  • 11. Receive Incentive Payment Approval (Owner)

    Once post-approval is obtained, the final step is receiving incentive payment approval. At this point, you’ll be eligible to receive any government rebates, grants, or incentives that apply to your project.

  • 12. Join Our Referral Program (Get Paid 2% of Project Value Your Referred Upon Signing the Contract)

    As a token of our appreciation, we invite you to join our referral program. If you refer someone who signs a contract for a solar retrofit, you’ll earn 2% of the project value. It's our way of saying thank you for helping us spread the word about solar energy solutions.
